🛡️ Compliance & Privacy at

Summit Psychiatry Associates LLC

At Summit Psychiatry Associates, we are committed to the highest standards of clinical care, regulatory compliance, and patient privacy. Our approach is grounded in collaboration, transparency, and a culture of accountability.

🤝 Collaborative Care & Practice Agreements

Summit Psychiatry Associates operates under a team-based collaborative care model that supports comprehensive, integrated psychiatric treatment. Our physician assistants (PAs) are highly skilled, independent psychiatric providers practicing at the top of their license within this model.

In states requiring practice agreements or supervisory relationships, Summit maintains active, compliant documentation on file with our compliance office and at every location where services are provided. These agreements may also be verified through state licensing boards.

Summit upholds this standard of collaboration even in states where it is not mandated, ensuring access to psychiatrist consultation and coordinated care across all providers—PAs, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists.

🧾 Licensing, Insurance & Regulatory Compliance

Summit Psychiatry Associates maintains current:

  • State licensure and registration for all providers

  • Business liability insurance and professional malpractice coverage

  • Documentation of compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

These materials are kept on file and available for professional inquiries, audits, payer credentialing, or general compliance reviews. Requests can be submitted through our compliance office.

🔒 HIPAA Privacy Practices

Summit complies fully with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and applicable state laws to protect your personal health information (PHI). We are committed to:

  • Safeguarding all medical records and PHI

  • Using PHI only for treatment, payment, and operations unless otherwise authorized

  • Providing every patient with our full HIPPA Privacy Policy

  • Maintaining secure electronic systems for telemedicine and EHR

  • Training all staff and providers in privacy and confidentiality standards
